The Gardens

Our beautiful 12-acre formal gardens with their Italianate terraces overlooking the Deer Park and lake beyond provide a breathtaking setting for large marquee events for up to 1,000 guests. As well as being a popular choice for weddings, it has also hosted private and corporate parties.

The garden can be used in conjunction with our formal state rooms in Englefield House or other spaces across the wider Estate providing the flexibility to produce a bespoke event which is completely tailored to your individual needs.

Our garden is tended by our team of gardeners year round and thoughtful seasonal planting ensures it provides a stunning backdrop no matter the time of year. In spring our magnolias begin to bloom, and our woodland comes alive with a blanket of bluebells. While in summer our formal beds and borders teem with roses and colourful perennials. From late September our trees come into their own providing a riot of autumn colour which is just magnificent.
